Hi! Usually the same few blocks. I coordinate home-care visits during the day, and I like not having to arrange much before the walk. Shoes, keys, out the door.
They bring me back home without crossing the busiest road. There’s also a tree that drops little things into my hair at a certain time of year. I didn’t plan for that part.

Sometimes music. I tried turning the walk into podcast time, but I kept stopping to rewind things. Most mornings I would rather not need to remember anything.
I did for a while. Then I started taking the longer way just to make the number look right. Now I mostly check whether I have enough time to get home for breakfast.
My mother came for part of it last weekend. We went more slowly and turned back earlier. It was nice, but I also still like going alone. Both can be true.
I stay in. I might sit by the window with tea instead. Missing a morning doesn’t undo the other walks, and nobody is waiting for a report.
